Menus are generally large undertakings. Restaurants know what they need to have on the menu, but they don't know the best way to put it across. I saved The Spot On The Alley a world of pain and headaches in designing their extensive menu. It was arranged in a cohesive way to view but also in a way that everything fit equally. All the items were listed in red for separation, and a leader of dots were included from each item or description to the price. Several items on the menu also needed a special symbol to signify the degree of hotness or that it was a signature item of The Spot. Not only did this menu work for the 11" x 17" menu that folded in half, but with a simple reworking of the cover it was made into a to-go menu with three folds.
